Based on-site, the Project Engineer plays a critical role in planning, scheduling, procurement, and communication from pre-construction through project closeout. Our values are built on trust, teamwork, and technical excellence.Apply engineering principles to solve field and design issues.Develop technical solutions in collaboration with the Project Manager.Ensure adherence to technical standards and compliance with regulations.Project Planning & ExecutionAssist in the creation and management of project schedules using GANTT or PERT charts.Monitor progress and flag potential delays or issues to leadership.Contribute to project execution to meet deadlines and budget targets.Procurement & Resource CoordinationPerform accurate material takeoffs and source required materials.Develop scope of work documents and evaluate subcontractor alternatives.Organize procurement schedules and track vendor performance.Change Order ManagementDevelop pricing for proposed changes and negotiate outcomes.Manage CO execution from approval to payment application.Provide consistent project updates to ownership and internal stakeholders.Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to maintain progress and resolve challenges.Act as a key liaison between engineering teams and on-site staff.Support project budgeting processes and ongoing cost control.Prepare monthly billing applications and coordinate owner acceptance and payment follow-up.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management (required).3–5 years of construction experience in the field, ideally on commercial or government projects.Strong knowledge of construction processes, standards, and materials.Proficiency in reading drawings, managing schedules, and coordinating resources.Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.Ability to lead by example, adapt to shifting priorities, and take initiative.No specific certifications required, but hands-on experience is essential.Other RequirementsMust pass a 5-panel drug screen (federal contracting requirement).Must be eligible for access to military facilities.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.Medical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceLife and Disability Insurance OptionsPaid Time Off (Vacation, Sick, Holidays)401K/Profit Sharing PlanPaid Training and CertificationsTech Package (smartphone or tablet)Mileage ReimbursementUniforms ProvidedCompany EventsEmployee Recognition ProgramsScheduleFull-TimeMonday–FridayLocationOn-site role with projects in Hawaii and the Pacific regionMust be open to field work and job site presenceWe are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
