Essential Duties:

* Obtain prior authorizations for medical procedures, treatments, and services by contacting insurance companies.
* Accurately enter and update authorization information in the electronic medical record system.
* Inform patients of authorization status, coverage details, and potential out of pocket expenses.
* Work closely with physicians and other healthcare providers to gather necessary documentation.
* Collaborate with the Central Billing Office to ensure accurate claims submission.
* Assist with billing data preparation and medical claim submission.
* Address and resolve issues related to insurance authorizations.
* Maintain knowledge of insurance policies and regulatory requirements.
* Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.

Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Minimum 2 years' experience in medical billing, insurance verification, or authorization processes.
* Knowledge of healthcare insurance plans, medical terminology, and HIPAA regulations.
* Proficiency in EMR software and basic computer applications.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
