You will address technical issues for seismic analysis using analytical tools, justify design changes, and troubleshoot new issues.You will report to the Manager of Concrete / Rebar Design and Seismic Analysis. You will work a remote schedule.Annually Paid: We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $103,200 to $129,000 per year.ResponsibilitiesCivil / structural design activities like evaluation of soil-structure-interaction effects and characterization of dynamic soil propertiesAddress technical issues related to seismic analysis of building structures and fabrication, assembly, and construction phases of civil/structural projects like technical justification of design changes and sometimes troubleshooting emergent technical issuesOn-Site support at utilities and smaller projectsAnalytical tools like ANSYS, LS-DYNA, GTSTRUDL, and SASSIAid in maintenance of software compliance records and closure of engineering corrective actionsBecome familiar with applicable industry civil/structural codes like ACI, AISC, ASCE, and AWS standards and Westinghouse proceduresDevelop engineering sketches and markups using AutoCAD or similar CAD programsQualifications8+ years of experienceBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering -or- Structural EngineeringNice-to have but not required:PE, FE/EITNuclear industrySeismic analysis and soil-structure-interaction analysis#LI-RemoteWhy Westinghouse?Westinghouse offers great benefits to all our employees around the globe to keep them healthy and enhance their well- being.
