Who We Serve

Pacific Clinics serves children, transitional-age youth, families, adults, and older adults. We offer a full range of mental and behavioral health services, foster care and social services, housing, continuing adult education and early childhood education programs to Medi-Cal-eligible individuals and families throughout Alameda, Contra Costa, Fresno, Kings, Los Angeles, Madera, Orange, Placer, Riverside, Sacramento, San Bernardino, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Solano, Stanislaus, Stockton, Tulare, and Ventura Counties.

Compensation We Offer

  • The initial compensation for this position ranges from $31.40 - $38.61 per hour.
  • Salary is dependent on commensurate experience above the minimum qualifications for the role and internal equity considerations.
  • The salary may also vary if you reside in a different location than the location posted.
  • 8% License Differential for LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, PsyD, and select Peer Certifications. *
  • 7.5% Bilingual Differential for qualified positions*

About our Program: TRUST: Is a Mobile Mental Health Evaluation Team that handles psychiatric emergencies for adults with psychiatric or behavioral distress. The program includes a crisis hotline, mobile mental health response, and follow-up services.

Schedule: 36-40 hours a week

  • (1) Mon-Fri 11a-730p
  • (1) Thurs-Sat 7a – 7:30p
  • (1) Thurs-Sat 7p – 7:30a
  • (1) Tue-Wed 3p – 1130p

This position is part of a program that has adopted an Alternative Work Schedule (AWS). An AWS is a variation of the standard 5-day/8-hours per day schedule and allows for shifts of no longer than 12 hours per day within a 40-hour workweek without payment of an overtime premium until after the 12th hour in a day or 40 hours worked in a week.

JOB SUMMARY

Works within the vision, mission, and philosophy of the agency overseeing a program that provides 24/7 crisis response and stabilization services to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. Intervenes with crisis behaviors while developing the individual's strengths and interests. Responsible for linking to community resources. Does whatever it takes to meet the needs of the individual in a strength-based approach. Helps to create permanent connections for individuals. May search, locate, and engage individuals' natural supports. Assists with transitioning individuals to the lowest level of care needed. Works independently in the individual's or youth's home and in a variety of community and/or treatment settings.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Provides direct services to individuals in crisis in community settings.
  • Provides direct billable mental health services, documents in alignment with MediCal regulations, and achieves set productivity expectations.
  • Engages and builds alignment and relationships with individuals' families and natural supports.
  • Utilizes strengths of individuals and natural supports to assist in the implementation and achievement of goals and outcomes.
  • Works with individuals and/or family/natural supports to create strength-based planning and crisis interventions.
  • Understands and takes advantage of therapeutic opportunities in crisis situations.
  • Conducts observations regarding specific target behavior of individuals or youth to support their intended identified outcome.
  • Assists individuals in developing a hypothesis of function and underlying unmet need to develop individualized, strength-based strategies and interventions that will result in positive behavior change.
  • Works in the community directly with individuals and/or family to develop and implement safety and skill refinement plans.
  • Drives to individuals in crisis in the location identified.
  • Position-specific duties and responsibilities may vary depending upon the program.
  • Performs other responsibilities, as assigned, to support department/business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 18 years of age required.
  • Must know or quickly acquire extensive knowledge of local community resources.
  • Be able to articulate the experience and perspective of an individual with complex needs involving mental health, homelessness, or probation services.

OTHER SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Must pass Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), and Child Abuse Index Check (CAIC) background clearance.
  • Valid California Driver's license with two years of experience driving and a clean driving record may be required.
