Mergers and Acquisitions Tax Manager | Hybrid | Chicago, IL Are you a tax professional with a strong foundation in corporate tax and experience in transactional tax advisory? We’re seeking a Mergers and Acquisitions Tax Specialist to join a high-impact team supporting strategic initiatives across acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and investments. This hybrid role is ideal for someone coming from a Big 4 public accounting background, looking to transition into an in-house position where they can apply their technical expertise and broaden their exposure to corporate strategy, tax planning, and compliance. Key Responsibilities As a Mergers and Acquisitions Tax Manager, you’ll lead due diligence and integration efforts for M&A transactions. Support ASC 740 income tax reporting and financial disclosures. Research and interpret domestic and international tax law changes. Collaborate with finance, legal, and senior tax leadership to assess risk and identify planning opportunities. Develop and refine processes to ensure compliance and capture efficiencies. What We’re Looking For in a M&A Tax Manager Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field. 6+ years of corporate income tax experience. Strong project management and analytical skills. Experience in public accounting, ideally with a Big 4 firm. Ability to communicate effectively across departments and leadership levels.
