Building positive relationships as well as showcasing the capability to handle technical objections and issues throughout the client lifecycle is essential. Ultimately, the Solutions Consultant is a trusted advisor to both our internal partners and C‑Level executives. Working with the sales organization, Solutions Consultants at New Relic will utilize their technical expertise and business insight to ensure our high‑value customers are able to grow their business by using the full scope of our product suite. We need our Solutions Consultants to drive New Relic’s strategic direction and vision, as well as promote new product direction on behalf of your customers. What You’ll Do Support the Mid‑Market Sales team with opportunity qualification, demonstrations, Proof of Concept presentations (POC), RFP responses & business justification in a presales capacity. Develop deep expertise in New Relic products and services to provide customer‑specific value propositions highlighting the benefits and differentiators of our products. Identify and resolve critical business/technical issues. Take technical ownership of the entire sales cycle and drive it to a successful close. This role requires 3+ years in pre‑sales experience and/or similar capacities. A high degree of knowledge around common programming languages and technologies. Excellent written and verbal communications, presentation, and project management skills. Understanding of value‑based selling in customer‑facing roles. Ability to travel up to 20% of the time. A good balance of sales, business, and technical expertise. Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or similar. Bonus points if you have A clear understanding of network & system management solutions. Experience with one or more of Monitoring and Observability, Cloud, DevOps, CI/CD, AIOps, Logging, Data Analytics, and Visualization. Knowledge (or certification) of public cloud services (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP). Experience with real user monitoring and digital experience. The pay range below represents a reasonable estimate of the on‑target earnings (salary plus target sales incentives) for the listed position. This role is eligible for a commission plan (as defined in the sales incentive plan document). Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job‑related factors such as an applicant’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
