This is a hybrid position (4 days per week onsite) in San Diego, CA, and no relocation assistance is available.


Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
- Optimize and tune SQL queries to improve performance and ensure efficient data retrieval.
- Develop and manage database schemas, tables, views, and indexes.
- Collaborate with front-end developers and other stakeholders to define and implement data requirements in a Scrum environment.
- Perform data integration tasks, including ETL processes, to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Monitor and maintain database security, backups, and recovery procedures.
- Document database structures, processes, and procedures for future reference.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues and provide support for end-users.

Skills & Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience with SQL Server database development in sophisticated, commercial, web production environments.
- Strong experience and proficiency in writing and optimizing T-SQL, complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
- Experience with database design, development, and management.
- Strong knowledge of performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with C#.NET for middle-tier development and integration with SQL databases.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or related field is preferred.
