As an LPN, you will assist fellow caregivers in providing exceptional, top-quality care to a diverse patient population, and you can enhance your nursing skills through hands-on experience and educational resources offered within the Cleveland Clinic system.A caregiver in this position works 8:00AM – 6:00PM.ResponsibilitiesProvide professional nursing care to patients.Administer medication.Maintain complete, accurate and up-to-date documentation in medical records and files.Complete authorization forms and laboratory requisitions.Implement pain management assessments and documentation.Adhere to the National Patient Safety Goals as outlined by JCAHO.Follow Code Blue protocol.Minimum qualificationsGraduate of Accredited LPN programFlorida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationKnowledge of infection control practicesExperience with technologyComputer literacyPreferred qualificationsOne year of clinical experiencePhysical requirements and safetyEssential duties include patient assessment, planning, coordination, monitoring and evaluating progress with R.N. or physician.Frequent walking, sitting, and standing. Frequent talking and listening when giving instruction and explanations.Frequent use of phone, fax machines, and occasional use of computer.Manual handling: lifting and moving patients and equipment up to 50 pounds without help and over 50 pounds with assistance.Stooping, pushing/pulling when moving patients; reaching and handling equipment.Indoors in air-conditioned areas; potential exposure to blood and blood-borne pathogens; PPE required as appropriate.Personal Protective EquipmentHigh exposure to infectious wastes; gloves, masks, gowns, and goggles as appropriate.
