Description The Plumber will install, repair and maintain plumbing systems. Inspects, installs, repairs and replaces pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures to maintain the heating, cooling, water, sewer, gas, and drainage systems. Cuts, bends, threads and fits pipes with adjoining pipe assemblies. Caulks leaks and opens clogged drains. Maintains knowledge of the hospital plumbing systems and the operation of those systems. Installs sinks, toilets, water heaters and related plumbing fixtures. Maintains proficient working knowledge of Plumbing and Building Codes, as well as, all OSHA and local requirements related to all assigned work, inspects completed work to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and local building codes. Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures to include reporting all accidents and injuries in a timely manner, performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments and or all training programs, classroom and virtual, as designated. Estimates time, labor and or material costs on plumbing projects adhering to purchasing policy, procedures. Initiate, document all work in CMMS system, manage and delegate work orders both reactive and preventative. Performs other duties as assigned.
