Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 The Opportunity Emplify Health seeks a dynamic executive to serve as its next Vice President, Total Rewards within the enterprise Human Resources department (“Vice President”). This is a unique opportunity with a health care organization focused on enhancing the health and well‑being of their communities and enriching the lives of their patients, families, and staff. Emplify Health, represented by the Gundersen Health Region and Bellin Health Regions, recently merged to create a nearly $3 billion health system offering access to more resources and a broader network of services to strengthen and improve care for the patients and families they serve. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Vice President will review, plan, and execute the total rewards strategy for the enterprise, leading a cross‑functional Total Rewards Committee and harmonizing benefits programs, compensation philosophy, and a unified HR system across regions. Position Summary The Vice President will create and deliver a comprehensive total rewards strategy and program that aligns with the mission, vision and values of Emplify Health and inspires employees to live their best lives. The role requires education, influence, and a breadth of knowledge across compensation and benefits, and involves leading, developing, and retaining high‑performing teams. Total Rewards Strategy And Design Develop and execute a total rewards strategy supporting the company’s business goals, ensuring competitive and affordable compensation and benefits. Oversee governance structures facilitating effective decision‑making and plan oversight. Design and implement innovative compensation programs, including base salary structures, variable pay plans, incentives and recognition. Design and implement innovative benefits programs, including health and welfare, wellness, retirement, time off, leave of absence, education. Collaborate with the CPO and executive leadership team to align total rewards with overall HR and business strategies. Ensure competitiveness of compensation and benefit offerings across markets, considering local regulations, benchmarks and financials. Leverage HR data analytics to inform decision‑making and continuous improvement. Drive solutions to enhance employee experience, attracting, retaining, and motivating top talent. Integrate Total Rewards initiatives into broader HR and business strategies and meet budget targets. Collaboration And Communication Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align HR initiatives with organizational goals. Maintain relationships with internal customers, peers and associates, and external vendors. Use effective communication methods to build trust across diverse audiences. Utilize Workday, Infor, and UKG (or similar platforms) to optimize employee experience and administrative processes. Monitor market trends, legislative changes, and best practices to continuously enhance programs. Payroll And Benefits Management Oversee payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing across multiple locations. Manage and enhance the benefits portfolio, including health, welfare, leave, retirement and wellness initiatives. Evaluate and select external vendors for payroll and benefits administration, negotiating contracts and SLAs. Core For All Leaders Strategic and operational leadership, fiscal management, HR management, excellence in service and quality, and community liaison. Education Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or Finance; Master’s preferred. Certification/Registration/Licensure Preferred: CCP, CBP, CEBS, SHRM SCP or SPHR. Experience 10+ years in related HR leadership role. Experience in a large, complex organization with competing priorities. Experience within a health system or other healthcare organization preferred. Experience developing Total Rewards Strategy and execution plans with ROI and budget management. Experience designing and administering compensation and benefit plans. Proven leadership in building teams and developing individuals. Innovative, forward‑thinking strategist with strong communication and relationship management skills. Experience optimizing HR systems and processes; proficiency with Workday preferred. Deep knowledge of contemporary HR practices and industry trends. Demonstrated application of change‑management methodologies in a matrixed, complex operation. Experience in a shared services environment strongly preferred. Experience with collective bargaining agreements preferred. Why Emplify? Tailored benefits package varies by location.
