Your Role and Responsibilities
This role will be located in Colorado Springs and requires a minimum of a Secret security Clearance.

As a Software Test Engineer with IBM, your development activities at the Cyber Operations Branch program office adhere to Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). SAFe offers proven, integrated principles, practices, and competencies to implement lead, agile, and DevOps at scale. Additionally, this program office personifies DevSecOps which automates the integration of security at every phase of the software development lifecycle from initial design, through integration, testing, deployment, and software delivery. These development efforts shall result in two deployable defensive cyber solutions to protect, defend, and respond to USSF mission systems.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Demonstrated working knowledge & experience in the following areas:
Agile software development, agile methodologies, agile project management, software project management, defensive cyber operations, software development life cycle management
Version control, continuous integration, configuration management, deployment automation, containers, infrastructure orchestration, software testing
Experience with code quality tools: Chef, Docker, Puppet, & scripting Linux

At least four years (4) relevant experience performing activities in the Government (military and/or civil servant), federally funded research and development center, or profit or non-profit Government support, or development contractor arena
Programming Languages (at least 2):
React, Angular, Python, JavaScript, CSS, & HTML, Databases, SQL, Gitlab, & antifactory
Experience or knowledge in the following areas:
Agile methodologies, agile project management, software development life cycle management, program/project management, cross-functional team, agile software testing, test-driven development, software test planning, software test automation
Desired skills/experience:
Education/Certification
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree in STEM related specialty and 6 years professional experience; or Masters degree in STEM related specialty and 4 years' professional experience
Must have SAFe for Teams certification
Minimum Education: Bachelors degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, software development or STEM related specialty and 4 years related professional experience; Or Masters degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, software development, or STEM related specialty and 2 years related professional experience

DoD Secret clearance required

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Familiarity & knowledge:
SIMP Project, Docker, GIT, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Suricata, Zeek, Kibana, Logstash, Elastic Search, Neo4J, PostgreSQL

SAFe for Teams certification
Relevant DoD and/or Industry work experience in Space Systems Command
Experience with Cyber Operations Branch (SSC/SZYO) program office

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
