Phlebotomist - PRN Phlebotomist The Phlebotomy Technician is responsible for transportation of lab specimens, keeping patient files current and the collection of blood samples for patients of the following age groups: Neonate (Newborn) Pediatric (>Newborn to 11 Years Adolescent (12 to 18 Years) Adult (19 to 59 Years) Senior Adult (60 to 74 Years) Geriatric (75 and Above) This position requires the performance of Category I tasks which involve exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues. The Phlebotomy Technician is responsible to the Phlebotomy Section Leader and the Laboratory Manager. QUALIFICATIONS Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred; Completion of Phlebotomy or Medical Office Assistant course required. Licensure/Certification: Previous experience in Phlebotomy required.
