Managing Trial Attorney

Nationwide is seeking a Managing Trial Attorney to lead litigation in Garden City, New York with a hybrid work schedule. Location & Schedule The role is based in Garden City and requires a hybrid schedule with occasional travel to New York State Courts. Key Responsibilities Oversee commercial and personal lines litigation files, including Bodily Injury, Complex Commercial, Premises Liability, and No‑Fault. Manage a team of approximately 12 attorneys and paralegals, providing coaching, performance reviews, and professional development. Develop and maintain budget, workflow, and quality standards for the office. Coordinate administrative functions, including expense management and staffing decisions. Collaborate with National Practice Group leaders on strategy and best practices. Qualifications Juris Doctor from an accredited law school. Admitted to the New York State Bar and actively licensed. 10+ years of civil litigation experience with a track record of leading trial attorneys and paralegals. Strong leadership, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. Experience managing a hybrid office and remote team members.
