Position Overview Summary Wits Solutions Inc. (WITS) is an SBA certified 8(a) company headquartered in the Washington D.C. area, providing IT and administrative consulting to federal, state, local and commercial customers. We are seeking a FOIA Analyst to support our DHS customer on FOIA support requirements. Responsibilities Receive, review, and analyze new FOIA requests to determine sufficiency for processing. Conduct record searches, apply lawful exemptions and redactions. Release responsive records within prescribed timeframes. Provide FOIA information to employees and requesters. Assist FOIA specialists in implementing privacy policies and procedures. Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Process records in response to litigation requests with same deliverables as non‑litigation requests. Triage and verify new FOIA requests to ensure sufficiency. Handle complex FOIA requests: conduct searches, review, organize, analyze, apply exemptions, redact records in compliance with FOIA policy. Release redacted responsive records, research and analyze sensitive classified data to make FOIA determinations. Experience/familiarity with FOIA tools—Adobe Pro, FIPS, FIRST, FOIAXpress, FOIA online, Relativity. Desired Skills, Qualifications, and Experience High school diploma required; 4‑year college degree preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word). Education Requirements High School Diploma. Required Years of Experience Experience/familiarity with FOIA tools: Adobe Pro, FIPS, FIRST, FOIAXpress, FOIA online, Relativity. Physical Requirements Must be able to sit at a computer for extended periods. Must be able to lift at least twenty pounds.
