Staff Accountant (Tukwila, WA)

Company Overview:
Our client, a growing organization based in Tukwila, WA, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and organized professional with a strong foundation in accounting. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of financial records, supporting month-end close processes, and ensuring smooth financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review bank reconciliations on a regular basis to ensure all accounts are accurate and up to date.
- Record journal entries and ensure accurate posting to the general ledger.
- Assist in the month-end close process, ensuring that all financial data is accurate and timely.
- Assist with maintaining fixed asset schedules and depreciation entries.
- Perform regular balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Help ensure compliance with internal accounting policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Provide support for audits as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end closing processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) and experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, etc.).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
