Position Details Position Summary The Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer supports the business in Supplier Project Management, Supplier Assessments, Supplier Performance Improvement, Technical Data Interpretation/Analysis, and Quality System Management. Principal Activities Manage Circor’s supplier quality management program. Perform audits and assessments of supplier processes and QMS systems. Drive Supplier Improvement Projects to identify root causes and implement corrective action plans to improve supplier OTD and reduce scrap, rework, and repair costs. Lead problem‑solving teams to conduct root‑cause analysis and improve on‑time delivery. Manage Supplier Corrective Action Requests. Support in‑house manufacturing and customer complaint issues related to supplier parts. Resolve supplier‑impacting issues affecting product quality. Conduct purchase‑order review and flow‑down of requirements to suppliers. Participate in supplier qualification, approval, and selection processes. Perform day‑to‑day supplier auditing, SCAR management, supplier NCRs, investigations, quality improvement plans, metrics, and ASL management. Develop receiving inspection requirements as needed. Develop product quality plans and inspection methodologies. Perform source inspection as required. Analyze product/process trend data to optimize supplier performance and minimize variability and costs. Review and approve First Article Inspection reports per AS9102. Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) and Configuration Control Board (CCB) processes. Develop process flow charts/diagrams and PFMEA. Use lean and six sigma tools to reduce process and product variation. Conduct and participate in internal and external quality system, process, and product verification audits. Support product/process certifications and approvals. Perform other job‑related duties as assigned by Quality Management. Candidate Requirements Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Expertise in driving Root Cause Corrective Action. Proficient with problem‑solving tools (5‑Whys, FMEA, 8‑D, Pareto, fault‑tree analysis, Ishikawa diagrams). Strong business/technical writing, presentation, planning, problem‑solving, organizational, project management, and judgment skills. Excellent project management skills that deliver transparency, accountability, and results. Experience of at least 8 years driving supply‑chain improvements. Blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge. Experience with raw‑material and manufacturing quality inspection processes (machining, heat treating, anodizing, painting, NDT, etc.). Flight‑critical components/systems experience is a plus. High ethical standards and alignment with organizational goals. Knowledge of contract flow‑down preferred. Familiarity with major aerospace prime customer requirements (Boeing, Airbus, etc.) is a plus. Six sigma experience (green belt or black belt) and lean manufacturing practices. Knowledge of AS9100, Nadcap, ISO 9001, and related quality management systems/specifications. Ability to create and implement statistically valid control plans and audit plans. Proficiency with inspection metrology and automated measuring equipment. Skill in creating or reviewing failure analysis reports and dimensional tolerance stack‑up analyses. Experience with industrialization processes (PPAP, PVI/DVI with FAI per AS9102). Advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, and other application software. Education Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field, ASQ certification, or extensive verifiable experience in lieu of a degree. Master of Science is a plus. Pay Range $100K – $110K base salary. Pay may vary based on location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
