About the Role Position Summary The Sr. Regulatory Chemical Data Specialist (Scientist) is responsible for ensuring compliance with evolving regional chemical regulations, with a focus on North America (U.S. and Canada). The role involves managing ingredient notifications and registrations, serving as a subject matter expert on EPA TSCA, and coordinating chemical data reporting requirements. Additionally, this position will support internal and external inquiries and analyze raw material data impacts in the fragrance portfolio. The ideal candidate has a strong scientific background, extensive regulatory affairs experience, technical expertise, and the ability to effectively collaborate with global teams and government agencies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Independently assess, communicate, and ensure compliance of relevant new and/or changing regional chemical regulations are implemented. Responsible for ingredient notification/registrations, including coordinating global data requirements/dossiers, for North America (U.S. and Canada). Coordinate, submit, and support regional S&C chemical data reporting (EPA TSCA CDR, BATF denatured alcohol usage, others as required). Support internal and external customer inquiries and/or documentation preparation. Support the integration of new raw materials and regional alternate vendor approvals. Analyze selling portfolio impact assessments of raw material data changes. Provide training, support, and guidance to new staff members, trainees, junior specialists, and specialists as needed. Provide regular team updates & new employee training for relevant global and regional projects, tasks and initiatives. Support and participate in internal/external working groups, committees, and ad‑hoc groups. Implement & support continuous improvement initiatives and projects/tasks as defined by manager. Provide back up support for regional Safety Data Sheet services. About You Required Qualifications BS/BA minimum; MS/MA or advanced degree preferred in Chemistry, Toxicology, Environmental Science, or related scientific field. 7–10 years of Regulatory Affairs experience – Chemical and/or Fragrance industry preferred. 2–5 years of government or related chemical data reporting. Experience with EPA TSCA is imperative. Strong technical, analytical, mathematical, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work accurately with minimal supervision. Highly organized with project management skills and the ability to handle conflicting priorities. Work as a team player and interact with internal global personnel and external customers. Ability to communicate appropriately at all levels. Dialogue with government agencies regarding registrations, approvals, and rejections. Regulatory vigilance and ability to interpret regulations. Proficient computer skills required, including experience in SAP, government or other agency portal reporting, database management, and managing significant volumes of data.
