This position will lead the end-to-end legal review, drafting, management, execution, and compliance of assigned agreements and contracts. This person must be proactive, highly organized, forward-thinking, detail oriented and must have proven success recognizing, analyzing and communicating potential risks and practical solutions.**Responsibilities*** Negotiate, draft, develop, manage and close a broad array of complex technology vendor agreements including but not limited to on-prem software licenses, software-as-a-service, subscriptions, cloud computing, open-source licenses, click-through, reseller, broadcast and telecommunication operations, and professional services* Negotiate, draft, develop, manage and close a broad array of facility leases and vendor agreements* Provide legal reasoning, interpretation, advice and guidance of assigned agreements and contracts* Collaborate direct relationships at all levels within the Technology and Procurement teams, to ensure contract structures and supplier relationships were aligned with business needs and financial strategies* Work with Privacy team on global privacy governance program to mitigate privacy risks and ensure compliance with domestic and international data protection laws (GDPR, LGPD, CCPA, CPRA)* Conduct privacy audits across all functional business units at Starz to identify and address potential compliance gaps.* Create and maintain essential privacy documentation to ensure consistent understanding and compliance across the organization* Advise Product and Marketing teams on compliance with state and federal consumer protection laws for Starz streaming services, covering areas like automatic renewals laws (CA), deceptive trade practices (FTC), cancellations/refunds, email marketing (CANSPAM), video privacy (VPPA), and children’s privacy (COPPA)* Assist in managing company AI governance program* Perform other duties as assigned or directed**Qualifications & Skills*** Juris Doctorate and at least 10+ years of experience in Business & Legal Affairs with an emphasis in Information Technology or equivalent industry/subject matter expertise* Proven experience negotiating, drafting, developing, managing and closing technology vendor contracts with customers in a corporate legal and/or procurement/contracts department* Strong legal reasoning and excellent verbal, written, organizational and communication skills* Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and successfully fulfill expectations of multiple internal clients, multi-functional teams and projects, including in the absence of express direction* Confident, effective and positive negotiator who can lead the process, focus on important issues, and efficiently bring deals to a favorable close**Compensation**$160,000 - $185,000**About STARZ**STARZ (NASDAQ: STRZ) is the leading premium entertainment destination for women and underrepresented audiences, and home to some of the most popular franchises and series on television.
