Retail Store Manager – Location: Carlsbad, CA (S.DG-CARLSBAD/LA COSTA).Join Michaels Stores as a Retail Store Manager and lead our team to deliver outstanding customer experiences while driving sales and achieving company goals.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage all aspects of the store, ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Company programs; enforce compliance with applicable laws and Company policies, hold the team accountable for store conditions and results.Deliver sales plan/profit plan and other KPIs in conjunction with annual performance objectives; manage the store team to achieve their role KPI’s.Lead the execution of our customer brand promises.Implement and lead the shrink and safety programs to deliver goals.Set, prioritize, and communicate goals using company tools; provide overall management to team members and customers.Staff the store with qualified Team Members: hire, train, observe, and coach the team; lead performance management and disciplinary processes; identify talent and develop Team Members for advancement.Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner; remain positive in difficult situations; promote commitment to the organization’s vision and values.Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD).Maintain operational understanding of all store departments; be cross‑trained, and ensure all managers are cross‑trained in Custom Framing selling and production.Minimum ExperienceRetail management leadership experience.Physical RequirementsAbility to remain standing for long periods of time.Ability to move throughout the store.Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching and stretching.Some lifting of heavy items and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.If you need help performing these functions, contact your supervisor to engage in the interactive process for reasonable accommodation.Work EnvironmentPublic retail store setting supervising Team Members and serving customers; some areas climate controlled, some not; occasional outdoor work; Frame shop contains glass cutter and heat press.Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.Compensation$68,400.00 - $91,300.00 per year.Legal & Equal OpportunityApplicants in the U.S. must satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements of the job.Michaels is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
