Senior Dosimetrist – Proton Therapy Location: Miami Cancer Institute, Miami, FL Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: $135,809.21 - $176,551.97 per year Sign-On Bonus: Up to $8,000 Under the direction of the Radiation Oncologists and general supervision of the Medical Physicists, the primary role of the dosimetrist is to initiate and see through the treatment planning process for external beam proton treatment plans. Additionally, the medical dosimetrist will, on occasion, aid in special procedures and brachytherapy planning. As the program develops, the dosimetrist will also provide training to dosimetrists, physicists, radiation oncologists and affiliate trainees in dosimetry, and will support and adhere to the BHSF safety and compliance program including OSHA, HIPAA and the Code of Ethics. Responsibilities Initiate and manage external beam proton treatment planning. Aid in special procedures and brachytherapy planning. Provide training to dosimetrists, physicists, oncology staff and trainees. Support and adhere to safety and compliance standards (OSHA, HIPAA, Code of Ethics). Qualifications Minimum 5 years of direct dosimetry experience. Bachelor’s degree in a physical science, radiation therapy technology (RTT) or related field. MDCB Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) certification required; direct dosimetry experience required. Preferred: Master’s degree in Science. Preferred: RTT experience from an accredited radiation therapy technology program. Proficiency with multiple treatment planning platforms. Excellent communication skills and leadership abilities.
