Reporting to the Head of Underwriting and based out of our Atlanta office you will be responsible for underwriting new finance proposals that both protect and deliver value to Liberis. You will have the opportunity to use your experience to enhance our underwriting process while ensuring we stay within the organization’s risk appetite. What you’ll be doing : Underwriting new and repeat business requests, investigating multiple different pieces of information to make sound, rational decisions. Direct liaison with prospective customers to obtain additional information as well as potentially relaying approve / decline decisions. Acting as a referral point for internal stakeholders, specifically focused around ensuring the correct policies and procedures are being followed. Constantly challenging the way in which we underwrite to ensure we always have the right balance between customer experience and protecting Liberis from any potential risk. What we think you’ll need : Proven experience in an underwriting role, particularly small business finance Confident in making decisions and being able to articulate these effectively Strong attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to convey complex findings in a logical and easy-to-understand style Ability to refocus as needed to support a rapidly growing and evolving company What happens next?
