Shift Coverage: 24/7 coverage shared with full-time and PRN provider
Call Requirements: 10-14 days of call coverage per month
Weekend Requirements: Yes

Job Description:

  • Position Overview: Seeking locum Cardiothoracic Surgeon to provide coverage.
  • Practice Setting:
    • Clinic inside the hospital
    • Hospital rounding, call, and call back
  • Patient Demographics: Adult patients only
  • Average Number of Cases per Day: 1-2
  • Trauma Level/Designation: Level 2
  • Operating Rooms: 12 ORs, including a hybrid room
  • EMR System: EPIC
  • Ancillary Staff: 4 Physician Assistants (PAs)

Scope of Services:

  • Required Procedures:
    • Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
    • Redo Coronary Revascularization (with or without heart valve surgery)
    • Heart Valve Repair/Replacement Surgery

Credentialing:

  • Estimated Timeframe: 60-90 days
  • State License: Ohio
  • Required Certifications:
    • Board Certified
    • Fellowship trained in Cardiothoracic Surgery
    • ACLS and BLS
