What’s a typical day as a Legal Secretary? You’ll be:
• Assisting and supporting lawyers and paralegals with their work as needed.
• Enhancing attorney effectiveness by providing information-management support and representing the attorney to clients and others.
• Welcoming guests and clients, answering inquiries, and directing calls.
• Producing and managing documents, including transcribing, dictation, formatting, and retrieving text, data, and graphics.
• Reading, reviewing, verifying, and routing correspondence, reports, and legal documents.
• Drafting, revising, and editing letters and other written documents.
• Organizing client conferences and attorney meetings, coordinating schedules and preparation.
• Maintaining attorney calendar, recording court appearances, and monitoring filing requirements.
• Representing attorney by communicating on their behalf and obtaining information.
• Maintaining client confidentiality and filing systems.
• Managing office supplies and equipment.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have excellent documentation, time management, and organizational skills.
• Are proficient in office software
• Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Have previous legal experience
• Have a high school diploma (required); Associate’s degree (preferred).
• Have dictation experience
