Shift: Days, 7a-7p, 12x3, 36 hrs per week, EOW, No call and holidays

Length: 26 weeks (preferred, but not mandatory)

Requirements:

  • ME License 
  • Minimum 1 Year Experience, would prefer more
  • Skills: Reading/Interpreting Rhythm strips, Trach care, Chest tube management, General Medical Surgical skills (wound care, IVABX, Drain/tube management, IV starts, central line management, etc.)
  • BLS
  • NIH preferred
  • EKG interpretation/ACLS preferred
  • Previous charge experience highly preferred

First-time traveler? Yes

Will float as often as needed to any area with Med/Tele patients (within or below scope)

Bed: 411

Beds: 44 private and semi-private rooms

Patient Types:
Any medical diagnosis except primary Cardiac could be seen on this unit.
Unit will monitor patients on Telemetry (Med-Tele)
Common diagnoses include but are not limited to: Stroke, COPD, Respiratory issues and illnesses – Flu/PNA/COVID, GI Bleed, Renal Failure (AKI/CKD), Electrolyte imbalance, altered mental status, weakness, non-operable fractures
Non-surgical unit
Patient Ratios:
RN: Days 1:4-5; Nights 1:5-6
May vary based on patient acuity, tech support, insulin drips within assignment, etc.

Support on the Unit:
CNA
Charge nurse - will typically not have a patient assignment
Phlebotomy? For peripheral blood draws only
House Supervisor, 24/7
RT, 24/7 in house
Hospitalist, 24/7
PT/OT/ST – dayshift only
