Today, we’re routing queries between Snowflake and DuckDB, and in the future, we plan to include Trino, ClickHouse, StarRocks, etc.Our vision is to build the destination for data processing—a compute platform that automatically assigns and provisions the best compute engine for each workload.What’s it like working with us?We’re fun, easy-going, and we joke around a lot. As a founding engineer, you will work directly with the co-founders to design and develop a platform that supports multiple data storage and processing technologies, including Snowflake, DuckDB, Trino, and ClickHouse.This is a full-time, in-person role in SF where you will have the opportunity to contribute to the company's technology from the ground up and take ownership of key technical milestones.You are perfect for this role if you:Are a platform engineer with experience in platform, infrastructure, and networking.Have worked on service meshes like Istio and Envoy, with a strong grasp of traffic management and observability.Implement applications in private/public cloud infrastructure and container technologies like Kubernetes and Docker.Manage infrastructure with tools like Chef, Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes, etc.Manage, configure, and troubleshoot operating system issues, storage (block, object, etc.), networking (VPCs, proxies, CDNs, etc.), and administer high-availability clusters (DuckDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, etc.).Build and support CI/CD platforms, automate infrastructure needs, environment buildout, software releases, and system maintenance.Design and build CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Kubernetes toolsets, etc.Scale infrastructure on distributed systems.Experiences that will help you excel:Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes.Experience working with cloud providers like AWS, GCP, Azure in a production environment.Expertise with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as CloudFormation and Terraform.Experience with configuration management systems like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.Experience with networking load balancers such as Nginx, Netscaler, HAProxy, etc.A passion for documentation to avoid learning the same thing twice.A proactive attitude to fixing issues when you see something broken.Experience working in startups and being an early-stage employee. #J-18808-Ljbffr
