- Frankenmuth, MI Salary: Hourly Application Deadline: N/A Hotel Responsible for the preparation of all beverages served in the Lounge, Biergarten, private parties, Altmeuhl and Dining areas; maintains stock in all Bar areas; maintains cleanliness of all Bar and Storage areas and equipment; collects payment for orders; keeps back bar liquor displays and retail merchandise full, clean and attractive; serves food to guests, keeps company assets and money secured, follows all the Sanitation and Liquor laws, doesnt serve drinks to servers without a chit slip.

1.Prepares all beverages using proper recipes, glassware, and garnishes. Is accountable to make sure all items served are rung up by staff.

2.Inputs all food and beverage sales in Digital Dining using the proper categories so maintain proper cost of goods

3.Responsible for the security of all cash and company assets.

4.Serves beverages to the guest or prepares beverages to be served by staff.

5.Responsible to see that the Techniques of Alcohol Management are followed for the security of our guests.

6.Maintains thorough knowledge of beverages, food and retail items in order to properly assist the guest.

7.Assists with closing the Lounge areas.

8.Maintains cleanliness of all areas by following daily, weekly and monthly schedules for cleaning and by completing tasks as directed. Will sweep, mop, wash dishes and glasses, set up rooms, carry tables, move chairs, vacuum, dust, or other duties to keep areas clean and to set up for functions.

9.Follows all the rules of the Department of Health in keeping the Lounge and storage areas clean and sanitized at all times, washing hands frequently or at least every 30 minutes, using clean soapy and sanitizer water and avoiding any cross contamination. Knows how to day dot all perishable items. Follows all requirements for personal cleanliness. Documents any cross contamination that may be found and corrects it immediately.

10.Prepares garnishes for the days use or for parties.

11.Obtains supplies needed and prepares for daily business according to projections.

12.Administers all sales of alcoholic beverages in accordance to the Laws of Michigan and the policies of the Bavarian Inn Lodge. Does not serve obviously intoxicated persons. Checks all ID For legal drinking age. Gives last call and serves all alcohol before 2:00am. Makes sure children under the age of 21 are not in the Lounge past 10 pm.

13.Follows all policies and guidelines established by the Bavarian Inn Lodge and outlined in the Employee Handbook.

14.Exceeds the guests expectations of service and asks for help before service to the guest suffers.

15.Rotates stock to assure quality and freshness.

16.Makes out sections for the bartenders and assigns them tables.

17.Orders supplies at the beginning of the shift to make sure ample stock is available for peak periods. This includes retail items, cash and cashiering supplies or forms, mixes, garnishes or service items.

18.Works in a profitable manner to prevent waste or breakage of all products and supplies. Secures assets from theft from the staff or guests.

19.Has a pleasant attitude and SMILES and uses the guests name whenever possible. Makes yourself available to the guest. Is respectful to all staff and the guest.

20.Promotes the sale of merchandise through suggestive selling and upselling.

21.Helps with Take Out and Room Service orders as needed.

22.Makes Popcorn for the evening by following recipes. Serves popcorn to every guest as they are seated.

23.Attends department meetings on a monthly basis for continual training and reinforcement.

24.Works in a safe manner at all times to prevent injuries and eliminates or reports unsafe conditions immediately.

25.Serve food from Omas full service menu as well as the Lounge Snack menu and knows the proper steps of service. May be asked to work as a server in banquet and dining areas as needed.

26.Does not engage in drinking on the job or accepting drinks from the guest.

27.Performs other duties as assigned or directed.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Must be 18 years of age.

Minimum of 6 months experience in a position of food service.

Must have math skills enough to make change, calculate percentages, process discounts, ring up bills and have good accountability for collection of goods and services.

Must be organized to be able to handle multiple tasks at once.

Must be proficient in detecting and reconciling errors.

Ability to stand and walk continuously.

Ability to lift trays, racks of glasses, cases of beer or beverages and other items of similar weight.

Ability to lift and carry tables and chairs or move portable keg coolers.

Ability to work different schedules (mostly late evenings), long hours and attend meetings.

Ability to follow instructions.

Performs job descriptions of Bar Server and Banquet Bartender

DEGREE OF SUPERVISON RECEIVED Close to Moderate from the Bar Manager or other Food & Beverage Mangers or MOD and from the Lead Bartender

EXTENT OF SUPERVISION GIVEN None unless directed to help with the training of new staff

UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS:

Male: Black dress slack, white short or long sleeve dress shirt with collar, German tie, black vest, name tag with Perks ribbon, black leather tie non-slip work shoes with black socks.

Female: Green German jumper, white blouse, apron, name tag with Perks ribbon, black leather tie non-slip work shoes OR approved German dirndl with nylons.

You may be required to dress according to theme for special holidays/events like St. Pattys Day, Renaissance parties, Halloween, etc.

Responsible for the preparation, serving, and billing of all beverages at the Bar or served in the Dining Room; maintains stock in the Bar area; maintains cleanliness of the Bar. Sets up, services and breaks down bar stations for private and non-private functions. Will be trained in the areas of: Bar/Cashier Bar/Cocktail Server, Banquet Bartender and Food Server.
