Job Title: MRI Technologist

Location: Round Rock, TX

Department: Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Shift Timings: 16:00 - 1:30, Monday to Friday (4 Days/10 Hours)

Per Week: 40 Hours

Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MRI Technologist to join our team in the Magnetic Resonance Imaging department. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing MRI exams on a Siemens 1.5T MRI scanner in a Level II Trauma facility.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body.
Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination.
Enter and monitor patient data, transfer images from disk to magnetic media to produce the transparency, and develop film in an automatic processor.
Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers, and patient data/history).
Ensure equipment is properly functioning. Report potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.
Assist in maintaining a clean, orderly department including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area, and any other areas in the department.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree or equivalent from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Current certification as a Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) or MRI Technologist (MR) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as an MRI Technologist, preferably in a Level II Trauma facility.
Proficiency in performing MRI exams on a Siemens 1.5T MRI scanner.
Strong knowledge of MRI safety procedures and guidelines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
