M&T Instructor, Radiation Protection - Expected salary range of $98,100 to $109,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

 

Sr M&T Instructor, Radiation Protection - Expected salary range of $113,400 to $126,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Demonstrates mastery of skills and extensive subject matter knowledge in carrying out assignments associated with the analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and proposed modification of plant specific maintenance or technical radiation protection training programs.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Drives station and personnel performance improvement through the use of training. Develops, schedules, coordinates, and conducts performance-based maintenance or technical training programs as required by user community in accordance with Exelon's TSD model, department procedures, and with proper application of the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation phases.
  • Prepares trainee examination and conducts trainee evaluations for classroom, laboratory, OJT, and simulator environments, as appropriate and conducts counseling sessions for trainees, evaluates the results, and recommends/develops individualized training programs.
  • Participates in station support activities, i.e. outage support, root cause support, line assessment support
  • Assures the training programs are maintained current and incorporate information gained from INPO Significant Operating Experience Reports and Exelon NERs, NRC Circulars, Bulletins, and Information Notices, plant design change and backfit information, plant procedure changes and revisions, new regulations, and training effectiveness reports.
  • Support station and fleet in the areas of business initiatives, project management, refuel outage support, EP duties, and special projects.
  • Supervises the collection and maintenance of auditable training records and reports required to document training program activities.
  • Participates in NRC, INPO and management audits, and prepares responses to audit findings.
  • Maintains knowledge of plant operations, disciplinary skills and techniques, commensurate with the responsibility to develop and conduct effective, high quality training.

**This Radiation Protection Instructor role can be filled at the M&T Instructor Level, or at the Sr M&T Instructor Level.

· 5+years of nuclear technical background OR
· 7+ years of related industry experience
· 2+ years in training/education

· AS/AA in science/engineering

· 3 or more years of Radiation Protection Experience 
· 5+ years of nuclear power plant technical experience in the applicable discipline instruction OR
· 10+ years of related industry experience in the appliable discipline instruction

 

Sr. M&T Instructor, Radiation Protection 


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· AS/AA in science/engineering or equivalent experience

· 5 years or more of Radiation Protection Experience
· 7+ years of nuclear power plant technical experience in the applicable discipline instruction OR
· 10+years of related industry experience in the applicable discipline instruction
· 5+ years nuclear training experience
