Orion Group Holdings is seeking a highly skilled Senior Marine Structural Engineer to join their team in Houston, TX.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert-level structural design engineering support for the construction of marine structures, as well as developing and maintaining client relationships.

  • Collaborate with the VP of Engineering and Structural Design team to drive departmental business goals and objectives.
  • Lead the growth and development of the engineering team through mentorship and technical guidance.
  • Work closely with engineering and project teams to understand client needs and deliver high-quality results.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of engineering principles and practices to complex projects.
  • Design and analyze new and existing marine structures, including bulkheads, sheet-pile walls, retaining walls, and concrete wharves.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a Structural emphasis.

They must also hold a Professional Engineer license in a US State or be able to obtain one through reciprocity within 6 months of hire.

A minimum of ten (10) years of work experience in marine structural engineering design is required, with prior experience in the marine construction, heavy industrial, or engineering design industries preferred but not necessary.
