$100-$150k + bonus + benefits + hybrid schedule


Job Description:

A reputable law firm in McKinney, TX, is seeking a skilled and motivated Litigation Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation, with a minimum of 3 years of experience handling cases on both the plaintiff and defendant sides.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle litigation matters from inception through resolution.
  • Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Take and defend depositions effectively.
  • Attend and participate in court hearings.
  • Provide legal counsel and representation in business law, construction law, and insurance defense cases.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, with exposure to both plaintiff and defendant cases.
  • Legal Expertise: Strong knowledge and experience in business law, construction law, and/or insurance defense.
  • Skills: Proficiency in drafting and responding to legal documents, conducting depositions, and representing clients in court.
  • Work Ethic: Demonstrates a willingness to learn, excellent work ethic, and a commitment to client service.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to manage a diverse caseload and work independently.
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
