Follow DPH nursing protocols, immunization practices, and DHHS HIV clinical/protocol guidelines; ensure patient/provider satisfaction by monitoring clinical workflow and efficiency. Complete nursing assessment, vaccine administration, and health education/counseling. Vaccine management: vaccine storage and handling, administration, refrigerator monitoring, ordering, and tracking immunizations in GRITS and EMR. May be asked to train new hires (LPN, RN, CMA) on platforms such as VHN & GRITS, immunization certification via the CDC, and vaccine inventory. Become familiar with Electronic Medical Records. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and completion of a PHN course within one (1) year of hire. Current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license and CPR certification. Preferred: 2+ years in a Public Health or Outpatient Clinic setting and 2+ years of patient/client case management experience. Strong knowledge of infectious disease, HIV/AIDS, and STD risk factors, medical implications, and treatment options.
