Position Summary: The Apprentice Electrician 4 will advance their expertise within the trade as they continue to build upon the skills they've acquired during previous years of their apprenticeship. This role requires a thorough understanding and proficiency in various aspects of electrical installation, maintenance, and repair. Apprentice Electrician 4s will continue working closely with experienced journeymen and foreman-level electricians while assuming additional responsibilities in the field to gain confidence in completing complex tasks within commercial and industrial settings.Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:•Execute most rough-in installations with minimal supervision.•Accurately identify and organize all materials used in the electrical trade.•Assist in the setting and assembly of SES (Service Entrance Section) and transformers as part of electrical system installations.•Execute underground installations, adhering to provided specifications.•Assist in panel installations.•Assist with branch power system installations including terminations, branch circuit pulling, and fuse rejection clip applications.•Support journeyman electricians with a variety of tasks.•Assist in the maintenance of a clean and safe workspace.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:•Demonstrated ability to execute more complex tasks.•Strong attention to detail•Able to lift 50lbs and climb up and down a ladder safely.•Able to work in extreme weather conditions.•Proficiency in underground and rough-in installations.•Demonstrate proper use of tools and equipment.•Demonstrate advanced hand-bending EMT skills with applied understanding in bending larger EMT and rigid conduit using mechanical and table benders.•Ability to identify basic symbols, layout, and scale on blueprints.•Ability to work from various heights via ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and other safe work platforms.•Committed to a minimum of 40-hour work weeks.•Ability to work in and around restricted/ confined spaces.•Ability to apply code effectively.•Commitment to safety and qualityEducation and Experience:•Completion of two years in a registered apprenticeship program or similar education.•OSHA 10Benefits: Healthcare Dental and vision Weekly Fuel Incentive PTO accrual beginning your first day 401(K)Our CultureCommercial Comm and Electric has strived to instill our company's commitment to quality work within all of our employees.
