We are looking for a talented Assembly Repair Team Member-1st Shift to join our team specializing in Manufacturing, Engine Bussiness Segment in James Town, NY
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Description
- Performs skilled non-production activities independently which support the manufacturing processes in accordance with quality and productivity requirements safely in a manufacturing environment and may instruct or coach others.
- Comply with HSE standards, policies, procedures & regulations.
- Applies Cummins Operating System (COS) practices and Operations Excellence (OE) methodology throughout the plant.
- Remains flexible and performs other miscellaneous duties, as required, to meet production goals.
- Performs quality inspections.
Base salary rate commensurate with experience. - 5 Year Commitment
- Repair/replacement of defective engine components on ISX and IXM engines.
- Tear-down of scrapped engines.
- Washing/Cleaning of engine parts before being returned to the assembly line.
- Troubleshooting ISX and ISM engine failures at the fault code ETS.
- Data entry of engine repairs into QIS database.
- Responsible for creating NCMR Tickets for discrepant parts
- Must be able to flex hours to accommodate ATFD needs.
- Must be able to lift 35 pounds whenever necessary.
- Liaison with Assembly Quality and Product Engineering.
- Ability to work with others to investigate and resolve engine performance failures.
Education, Licenses, Certifications
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience
