Senior IT Project Manager IRES - SSFB with Security Clearance 2 days ago | Be among the first 25 applicants Position Title: Senior IT Project Manager Location: Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO or Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL Relocation Assistance: None available at this time Remote/Telework: No - Not available for this position Clearance Type: DoD Secret Shift: Day shift Travel Required: Up to 10% of the time Responsibilities Plan, execute, and close complex IT projects within defined scope, budget, and timeline. Lead project teams, communicate with stakeholders and executive government and IRES leadership. Deliver assigned projects that consistently exceed expectations. Manage the end‑to‑end project lifecycle for assigned projects, leading IT professionals to deliver required Transformation Task Force (TF) / Chief Information Officer (CIO) products, services, and support. Lead architects, engineers, cybersecurity professionals, and other personnel to ensure efficient solution design, project deliverable delivery, change management, and delivery of required products, services, and support. Act as the primary interface for assigned projects to all stakeholders and IRES leadership. Apply project management life‑cycle principles and practices within an IT environment. Apply technical knowledge to lead architects and engineers through the Systems Engineering Management Process to implement complex IT solutions. Apply business acumen to manage government contract actions, budgets, and costs. Basic Requirements 14 or more years of general full‑time work experience (may be reduced with advanced education). 9 or more years of directly related experience. 1 or more year of experience in a management or leadership role. Working knowledge or experience with Department of Defense (DoD) enterprise IT systems. Demonstrable project management experience in a high‑performance environment. Excellent communication skills and ability to deliver executive‑level briefings. Active DoD Secret Security Clearance. Desired Requirements ITIL certification. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or DAWIA Level III Project Manager certification. Earned Value Management and Cost Account Manager (CAM) experience. Experience managing high‑value projects (>500K) of varying complexity. Experience managing geographically separated project teams. Experience with Agile and/or traditional waterfall methodologies. DoD approved baseline 8570 certifications. Three years of management and/or leadership experience. Experience with Microsoft Visio and/or Microsoft Project. Salary Estimated annual pay $150,000 – $189,000, depending on experience, education, and relevant certifications.
