Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Provide effective leadership, guidance, and support to the nursing staff, promoting a positive work environment and fostering teamwork and collaboration.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations while maintaining the highest standards of care. Monitor quality metrics and implement improvement initiatives as needed.
  • Care Coordination: Oversee the coordination of resident care, collaborating with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans and ensure their effective implementation.
  • Staff Development: Recruit, train, and evaluate nursing staff members, providing ongoing education and professional development opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Wisconsin
  • Proven experience in a skilled nursing home environment with at least one year of successful experience as a Unit Manager, Assistant Director of Nursing, or Director of Nursing (DON)
  • Knowledge of federal and state survey processes
  • Work history in the long-term care industry
  • Wound Care Certification (preferred, but not required)
  • Commitment to team-oriented outcomes and quality care
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
