**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN)

**Job Specialty:** Tele Float - Telemetry

**Job Duration:** 13 Weeks

**Shift:** 12-Hour Days, Every Other Weekend

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 Hours Per Week

**Experience:** Minimum 2 Years of Acute Care Experience

**License:** Active RN License

**Certifications:**
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- COVID Vaccine Required

**Must-Have:** Ability to titrate medication drips; experience with common titratable and set rate drips such as Insulin, Heparin, Nitro, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Cardizem.

**Job Description:**

- Work primarily in surgical, trauma, neuro, cardiac, ortho, and spine units.
- Float across various units as needed including telemetry, short stay, and alternative medical-surgical units.
- Serve as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or entrance screener if required.
- Maintain patient ratios of 4-5 patients per RN, with CNAs assisting with 8-11 patient assignments.
- Utilize CPAP, BiPAP, and Trachs in respiratory therapy; no ventilator management required.
- Collaborate with telemetry technicians who remotely monitor and interpret telemetry strips; verify their readings.
- Participate in orientation including 4 hours on each primary unit.
- Meet weekend, holiday, and on-call requirements as outlined.
- Follow a non-specific scrub color dress code with adherence to unit standards.

- Ensure compliance with remote telemetry monitoring procedures and verify all readings.
- Utilize the Epic Systems Corporation - EpicCare Inpatient EMR for charting.
- Fulfill floating requirements across multiple hospital locations within the region as staffing needs dictate.
- Cancellation policy allows for 3 shift cancellations per 13-week contract term.
