**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery

**Job Specialty:** Family Birthing Center (Labor and Delivery)

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks

**Shift:** 12-hour Nights, Every Other Weekend, First to Float

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week

**Experience:** Minimum 2 years

**License:** Required to submit

**Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring (STABLE preferred)

**Must-Have:**
- Ability to float to Mother/Baby units
- Competence in circulating for C-sections
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting EKG strips on moms in PACU

**Job Description:**
- Work in a high-risk unit with expectations to float between Labor & Delivery and Mother/Baby.
- Circulate C-sections and provide postpartum care.
- Handle common diagnoses such as preterm labor, bleeding, inductions, cesarean sections, and hypertension.
- Titrate drips, including Pitocin.
- Work collaboratively with OB surgical techs and OB hospitalists available 24/7, with a neonatal specialist on call.
- Utilize GE Corometric monitors and Fetalink surveillance for fetal monitoring.
- Engage in 12-hour shifts starting at 6:45 AM with bedside reporting; additional shifts available.
- Maintain readiness for potential floating requirements within other facilities.
- Participate in charting with the Cerner system.
- Scrubs are provided by the facility.
- "Baby Catcher" role may be assigned based on staff availability.
