**Job Title:** Respiratory Therapist

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week

**Experience:** Competency in the care/treatment of all ages and effective equipment skills

**License:** Graduate of an accredited approved program for Respiratory Care with licensure required

**Certifications:** BLS, ACLS (preferred), NRP (preferred)

**Must-Have:** Excellent patient assessment skills, effective communication, ability to prioritize daily duties, and ability to work with diversified cultures

**Job Description:**

- Manage ventilators and administer nebulizer treatments
- Conduct EKGs, manage BiPAP/CPAP, and perform bedside spirometry
- Utilize equipment including Drager ventilators, Respironics BiPAP/CPAP, Smart Vest, Micronebs, Mortara EKG carts
- Engage in computerized charting and operate the Pyxis medication system
- Required to float between various departments within the hospital such as Emergency, ICU, Medical-Surgical, Pediatrics, Obstetrics, and Family Care areas
- Work three twelve-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend, with potential holiday shifts
- Participate in basic introduction to hospital specifics, including floor layouts, equipment storage areas, and policy reviews
- Dress code requires grey scrubs

Note: Candidates must be willing to obtain necessary licensure promptly if not already held. Local candidates are considered with adjusted terms.
