**Job Title:** Clinical Nurse

**Job Specialty:** Emergency Department

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks

**Shift:** 19:00-07:00

**Guaranteed Hours:**

**Experience:** Minimum 2 years required

**License:** Current RN license from an accredited state or compact state license

**Certifications:** BLS Certification required within 2 weeks of hire. All other required certifications must be obtained within 6 months of hire. If certifications are held at the time of hire, they must be maintained without a grace period for renewal.

**Must-Have:**
- Current knowledge and skills appropriate to the age/type of patient population served
- Sensitivity to patients' rights in the delivery of care
- Clear and concise communication skills appropriate to the developmental age of the patient

**Job Description:**

- Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the age of the patient population served in assigned areas.

- Ensure quality care is provided efficiently and safely, consistent with the unit's standards of care.

- Demonstrate performance consistent with the organization's mission, philosophy, and goals.

- Exhibit quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice.

- Treat staff, physicians, patients, and families with respect and consideration.

- Work in a clean, well-lighted, ventilated smoke-free environment with exposure to infectious diseases.

- Handle emergency or crisis situations efficiently, with a requirement for heavy physical effort.

- Engage in prolonged standing, walking, and physical effort required to position, push, and/or transfer patients or equipment and supplies.

- Exhibit manual dexterity and fine motor coordination.

- Maintain hearing and visual acuity within normal or correctable limits.

- Adhere to the dress code by wearing specified scrubs.
