**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** 8 Hour Days
**Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours per week
**Experience:** 2 years of CVOR experience in Level 1 or 2 trauma
**License:** Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing
**Certifications:**
- RN: BLS, ACLS
- CST: BLS, graduation from an accredited school, CST (preferred)
**Must-Have:**
- Strong CVOR background
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance in complex cardiac and thoracic surgeries
**Job Description:**
- Perform duties as a CVOR nurse assisting in cardio and thoracic surgeries, including CABG, TAVR, valve replacements, and thoracic cases.
- Handle generator exchanges, lead extractions, fem-pop bypass, open vascular cases, AAA, carotids, and conversions.
- Collaborate with team members in a 2 Tech Model during surgeries, where both techs are scrubbed in and assist in setup and draping.
- Provide support on the unit, floating to Main OR and Central Sterile Processing as needed.
- Utilize EPIC for charting along with Omnicell and Alaris equipment.
- Be on-call one overnight per week (7 PM - 7 AM) and every third weekend; possibility of additional days as department needs change.
- Work with surgery-specific team members, including Nurse Clinicians, First Assistants, and Anesthesia support.
- Respond within a 15-minute time frame when on-call, with access to a sleep room and break room facilities.
- Potential to work every holiday and need to reach out to the manager for time-off approval.
- 5 (8) hour days of orientation provided.
- Scrub color will be provided.
