**License:** ADN Required

**Certifications:**
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days
- BLS or CPR certification within 90 days of hire

**Must-Have:** Candidates must not reside within 50 miles of the facility.

**Job Description:**

- **Teaching:** Employ strategies to promote health and ensure a safe environment.

- **Relationships:** Establish effective working relationships with peers, physicians, and healthcare team members. Identify and confer with appropriate resources concerning patient care decisions.

- **Planning:** Develop a plan that prescribes strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes.

- **Outcomes Identification:** Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or situation.

- **Knowledge:** Collaborate with leaders/directors to actively pursue required knowledge and skills through orientation activities specific to the unit, unit-based in-service programs, reading current literature, and seeking new clinical learning opportunities.

- **Implementation:** Implement care and supervise care delivered by other team members following the plan of care and approved safety and infection control standards.

- **Evaluation:** Evaluate progress toward the attainment of goals and outcomes. Report data and outcomes as appropriate to physicians and/or other disciplines.

- **Diagnosis:** Analyze assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnoses, problems, and issues. Provide rationale for patient care decisions based on standards of care specific to the department.

- **Collaboration:** Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to address issues related to patients through mutual information sharing, discussion, and decision-making.

- **Variance Monitoring:** Participate in ongoing variance monitoring of clinical pathways.

- **Assistance with Procedures:** Assist with GI diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and perform cleaning of scopes. Perform and assist with procedures including, but not limited to, conscious sedation, pain management, IV therapy, blood and byproduct administration, bronchoscopy, minor surgery.

- **On-call Duties:** Take call after hours as assigned.

- **Education:** Educate patients and families appropriately for their procedures and treatments.

- **Patient Charges:** Consistently process patient charges for procedures and supplies correctly.

- **Documentation:** Consistently document care and service in accordance with the current Plan for Provision of Care, systems (i.e., Meditech), and protocols.

- **Patient Communication:** Handle patient phone calls for education and/or reassurance needs.

- **Assessment:** Collect pertinent data and information relative to the patient's health or the situation. Recognize normal and abnormal findings when gathering data.

- **Coordination of Care:** Plan and evaluate care in collaboration with appropriate disciplines for assigned patients.
