**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN)

**Job Specialty:** Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks

**Shift:** 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week

**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years in PICU

**License:** Valid RN License

**Certifications:** Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

**Must-Have:** Minimum of 2 years of PICU experience

**Job Description:**

- Work in a 12-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, with census fluctuations during different seasons.
- Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2.
- Administer and titrate various drips such as propofol, fentanyl, and epinephrine.
- Collaborate with a charge nurse present on each shift who does not take patient assignments.
- Independently read and interpret telemetry/monitor strips.
- Engage in troubleshooting RT equipment, including ventilators, bubble CPAP, and BiPAP.
- Participate in shift scheduling with an option for block shifts if unit needs permit.
- Fulfill the requirement of 5 weekend shifts within a 6-week period.
- Expect to work at least one holiday during the contract.
- Frequently float to the Pediatric Unit for full assignments.
- Dress code allows any color scrubs.
- Complete two 12-hour shifts for unit-specific orientation.
- Utilize EpicCare Inpatient for electronic medical record management.
