**Job Title:** Registered Nurse

**Job Specialty:** Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks

**Shift:** 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, with rotating weekends

**Guaranteed Hours:**

**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years of PICU experience

**License:** Registered Nurse License

**Certifications:** PALS, BLS

**Must-Have:**
- Experience with ventilators, high flow, chest tubes
- IV placement, experience with central lines
- Urinary catheter placement, NG placement
- Trach care
- Previous PICU experience, trauma & burn preferred

**Job Description:**
- Providing care in a PICU with a patient ratio of 1:2, potentially 1:3 for step-down or pediatric patients
- Rotating weekend duties, with a requirement to work 50% of weekends as needed
- Use and management of ventilators, central lines, arterial lines, and Alaris pumps
- Sedation procedures and setup for ART lines and chest tubes
- Working independently as only RNs are available, with no CNAs or Unit Secretary support
- Documenting care in the Meditech system
- Willingness to float to other units if the PICU census is low
- Wearing navy blue scrubs with an option for pediatric-friendly tops according to the dress code
