**Shift:** Night shift 1830-0700; includes every other weekend and holidays

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours

**Experience:** Minimum 1 year

**License:** Current Illinois license

**Certifications:** BLS certification required

**Must-Have:** Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; B.S.N. preferred or equivalent years of experience

**Job Description:**

- Manage and coordinate nursing care activities during client hospitalization in accordance with organization policies and procedures.
- Perform client assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Maintain professional accountability for all nursing care provided.
- Demonstrate competency in nursing judgment.
- Adapt easily to new techniques and changes in work assignments and environment.
- Organize and coordinate nursing care delivery for clients 18 years of age and older.
- Direct others in health care delivery and assign tasks based on employee skill level.
- Provide direct client care activities if required, in accordance with defined policies and procedures.
- Administer and record medications accurately and promptly.
- Maintain awareness of economic barriers in health care and act accordingly.
- Comply with all infection control policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and provide emergency care as needed.
- Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
- Evaluate performance of personnel, providing recommendations for appropriate action.
- Identify problems and utilize critical thinking skills to develop solutions.
- Create a working climate that promotes growth and job satisfaction among personnel.
- Provide care based on client's age-specific needs.
- Maintain a safe environment, monitoring continuously for harmful contraband.
- Conduct group therapies as assigned and participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning.
- Support the organization's mission and philosophy, promoting harmonious relationships among the health care team and internal/external customers.
- Participate in and promote activities related to process improvement.
- Attend meetings, training, and participate in departmental meetings.
- Develop and evaluate personal goals for professional growth.
