**License:** ARRT certification in CT Technology required
**Certifications:** BLS certification required (must be through the American Heart Association)
**Must-Have:** Ability to work independently and take call/standby as required by the department

**Job Description:**
- Perform diagnostic CT exams using appropriate imaging equipment under general supervision and following established policies and procedures.
- Verify patient identity and review patient medical record for appropriateness of the exam or procedure.
- Interview patients to obtain, verify, or update medical history and assess risk factors such as medications, pregnancy, and psychological indicators.
- Explain procedures to patients, including side effects of administered pharmaceuticals, risks, benefits, alternatives, and follow-up care.
- Set up equipment and acquire appropriate images as per the script.
- Review images, make initial observations, document exceptions from established protocols, and communicate data to radiologists.
- Recognize and respond to medical emergencies as needed.
- Provide physician-prescribed post-care instructions to patients.
- Participate in process improvement activities within radiology practice, including quality of care, patient flow, reject-repeat analysis, and patient satisfaction.
- Provide imaging education to residents, student technologists, and new employees.
- May perform the duties of a Radiologic Technologist as needed.

This position is a contractor replacement. Candidates should be prepared to participate in interviews and are expected to meet all facility requirements.
