Pharmacy Technician Position Details: Full-Time Hospital Pharmacy Technician opportunity that is perfect if you are looking for a great new opportunity If you are a detail focused, IV experienced and PTCB certified Pharmacy Technician, this is the position for you EPIC experience, preferred.
Pharmacy Technician Position Description:
  • Proficient in IV Admixture procedures including using aseptic technique in preparation of medication, calculations, maintenance of clean area, and complete documentation
  • Hazardous Drugs Proficient in all aspects of chemotherapy and other hazardous drug preparation with near 100% accuracy.
  • Inventory Management/General Duties.
  • Assessment and Care Delivery/Service: Assesses data and provides age specific care to patients.
  • Procures and distributes medication per physician request, pharmacist request or prearranged work assignment according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Maintains adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies and procedures.
  • Proficient in IV Admixture procedures including using aseptic technique in preparation of medication, calculations, maintenance of clean area, and complete documentation.
  • Responsible for the control, accountability and distribution of controlled drugs in the pharmacy.
  • Assessment and Care Delivery/Service: Assesses data and provides age specific care to patients.
Pharmacy Technician Requirements:
  • 1-2+ years’ experience in IV compounding
  • VA Pharmacy Technician license without prior action
  • PTCB National Certification
  • Must be reliable and detail focused
