**Description:**

Join our dynamic team as a Medical Surgical ICU Registered Nurse. Our ICU unit, with 34 beds, offers a comprehensive range of patient care opportunities, from neuro and respiratory care to cardiogenic shock management. Our typical accommodations involve a 1:1-2 nurse-to-patient ratio in the ICU and 1:4 in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU).

**Patient Demographics and Conditions:**
Care for adults and patients over 15 years old with a variety of conditions including respiratory failure, ARDS, MODS, sepsis, stroke, renal failure, general surgery, and more. Though experience in neuro surgery, cardiogenic shock devices, and renal failure treatments like CRRT is not required, we provide real-time training for these and other advanced techniques like internal chemo administration and ICP monitoring.

**Unit Environment:**

- **Charge Nurse:** Each shift is supported by a Charge Nurse who does not take patient assignments and attends RRTs and Codes.
- **Support Staff:** There are nurse aids with a 1:18 ratio.
- **Equipment Proficiency:** RNs should be comfortable with RT Equipment from nasal cannula to vents and must interpret telemetry strips using Draeger heart monitoring.

**Scheduling and Requirements:**

- **Shifts & Scheduling:** 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM, with manager-scheduled shifts based on unit needs.
- **Weekend and Holiday Requirements:** Every other weekend and holiday commitments may be required.
- **Floating:** RNs may float to all inpatient units, excluding Maternity/NICU.
- **Dress Code:** Navy Blue scrubs.
