**Must-Have:**

- Completion of a certificate program in Radiologic Technology

**Job Description:**
- Perform diagnostic radiology procedures using various imaging equipment to aid in the diagnosis of diseases and injuries.
- Acquire and process patient exams according to accreditation bodies and manufacturer guidelines and department protocols.
- Review cases with radiologists when necessary.
- Review labs and patient history to ensure correct exams are performed. Administer IV, oral, and rectal contrast when appropriate.
- Recognize and respond to any adverse or allergic reactions.
- Administer IV contrast materials through an existing IV line or by performing venipuncture.
- Screen patients for pregnancy and perform pregnancy testing if applicable.
- Ensure radiology orders are complete and accurate. Review patient history and clinical data for medical necessity.
- Acquire additional information from patients, ordering providers, or radiologists when needed.
- Demonstrate acceptable imaging quality by critiquing positioning, technical factors, and alignment.
- Verify and transfer image data to PACS with necessary medical history and information for radiologist interpretation.
- Utilize web servers and email systems to send exams for preliminary readings after hours.
- Maintain imaging equipment and workplace environment, including supply inventories and clean workspace.
- Report equipment malfunctions and service needs promptly.
- Ensure patient, visitor, and environmental safety and report safety events immediately.
- Assist in the instruction of students and new staff. May perform duties of Rad Tech Lead or Imaging Coordinator in their absence.
- Meet productivity benchmarks and assist other areas during downtimes.
- May perform other modality duties as licensed by the technologist/sonographer.
- Comply with job descriptions for cross-trained modalities within the department.
