Residences at Vantage Point, senior living community located in Columbia, MD seeks a fulltime Fitness Assistant.
This individual will assist the Fitness Coordinator with group exercise programming for both independent living and in our Health Center.
The ideal candidate must have excellent hospitality skills; be creative, flexible and have the ability to design appropriate programming for seniors.
Qualified candidates should possess knowledge, certification and/or college education in exercise/fitness courses, preferred.
Primary Job Duties:
- Implement and coordinate a fitness and wellness program.
- Evaluate and assess the needs and physical capabilities of each resident.
- Formulate and implement a program of exercise suited to each individual.
- Lead a variety of challenging and safe group exercise classes.
- Lead exercise programs and monitor individuals as they use exercise equipment.
- Conduct assessment, initial and ongoing, of residents and guide their participation in exercise programs and initiatives.
- Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of the fitness equipment.
