HSHS Medical Group is a multispecialty medical group made up of over 350 providers across 60 clinics throughout central and southern Illinois inclusive of a robust primary care referral base supporting our GI practices. HSHS Medical Group is an affiliate of Hospital Sisters Health System, which is a Catholic, non-profit integrated healthcare delivery system comprised of 13 hospitals across Illinois and Wisconsin guided by our mission and grounded in modern best practices.

Position Details:

  • Monday – Friday clinic schedule with option of 4 day work week
  • 7 days per month of call & inpatient rounds while on call
  • Minimal after hours clinic call
  • EPIC EMR
  • Dedicated support staff
  • Robotics available for surgical cases

Position Requirements:

  • Unrestricted Illinois license prior to start
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
  • M.D., D.O., or professional equivalent degree

Qualifications

Education

  • Clinical doctorate is required

Experience

  • Competence in delivery of healthcare services for adolescents, adults and geriatric patients is required
  • Certifications, Licenses and RegistrationsLicensed physician in the state of practice is required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required
  • Maintain a Controlled Substance license for the state and Federal DEA, when applicable to their specialty
  • Must have successfully completed, or in the process of completing, an accredited residency program
  • Must be board certified or board eligible
